MONEDA was formed in 2023 by Latin Grammy award-wining accordionist, Tweet Juarez and vocalist, Angelica Alcoser. Together they joined forces to create a band that has become a fan-favorite within the Tejano industry.  In their first year, MONEDA performed at the Mexican Fiesta in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Paseo de Luces in Tolleson, Arizona,  2023 Vegas Tejano Takeover, Texas Invades Colorado Event as well as numerous festivals and private events.  

In their second year MONEDA has established itself as an entertaining band that features original music from the “KARMA” EP and original music from Angelica's  freshman solo album “GIRLS NIGHT”.  Their live performances include original music as well as popular Tejano covers to get the crowd on the dance floor.   

Angelica Alcoser is the featured vocalist, born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and comes from a family of vocalists and musicians. Her great-grandparents performed regularly in San Antonio and her grandparents, mother and uncle formed a small mariachi-style group with influences that included  Miguel Aceves-Mejia, Javier Solis, Jose Alfredo Jimenez, Pedro Infante, Lucha Villa, Lola Veltran, Flor Silvestre. It was this music that continually played throughout her modest home, that set the stage for her love for Tejano and Mariachi music. 

Tweet Juarez, originally from West Texas, has performed in the Tejano Industry for over 20 years, performing with popular artists such as Raulito Navaira, Texas Latino, David Marez and Elida y Avante, where he won his Latin Grammy in 2010.   

In 2023, MONEDA released the first of three songs off the MONEDA EP titled “KARMA”.  First out was an original ranchera titled “AMOR ETERNO”,  “POR TU AMOR” and recently “NO PUEDO VIVIR”.  Tweet Juarez is the featured accordianist on all MONEDA music.   The MONEDA EP was produced by Lorenzo “Papo” Banda at Rokkore Studios in Corpus Christi, Texas and was released March 2024.
